I was originally brought up in the wonderful Lake District in Cumbria. Always surrounded by open countryside where my doggy companions could enjoy lots of exercise and fresh air. Back then, I had no idea how lucky I was to have such a beautiful place to grow up. I have had a varied career both in the UK and abroad, but a strong focus has always been on customer facing roles in travel and commercial banking and finally in 2009, I took the plunge into franchising and owned a successful homecare business from start-up for 10 years. I relocated during the Covid pandemic of 2021 from Hampshire to Suffolk after selling my business with my partner Graeme. I thought early retirement would suit me well, but it became clear to me once I had settled back into rural life, that I wasn’t ready to stop. Bailey has been my companion since a puppy and was there helping me grow my homecare business as an office dog. We met so many lovely people during this period, helping my clients to live safely and as independently as possible at home. Many of them unable to have a pet of their own anymore.
My Bailey was always on hand for some cuddles and fuss and the pleasure he gave was a real tonic to increasing wellbeing and enjoyment.
