Are you interested in becoming a host for us?
This is your chance to look after lovely dogs in your own home while their owners are away.
If this appeals then do come along and join us and many of our hosts for a cup of coffee and some cake.
We are holding a coffee morning on Friday 28th April 2017 from 10.30 - 12.30 - we look forward to seeing you at Jolly Nice - The Old White Horse Filling Station near Frampton Mansell on the Cirencester Road going to Stroud.
Would you be interested in joining the Barking Mad Cotswold team - we are looking for someone to help us out a couple of a days a week starting in April.
We require more support on the marketing side of the business which would include leafleting, attending fetes, calling on local cafes, libraries, shops to ensure our leaflets and posters are displayed also the job would require someone to help out during really busy times collecting and delivering dogs to our host families.
This is a general supporting role and we imagine it would be for 2 days a week paying £8per hour with use of the company car and petrol costs would be covered. Its possible that during very busy times there maybe more hours available.
Dog lovers are a must, a clean driving license and a get up and go personality are also required.
If this appeals then email us email@example.com
We held a great host coffee morning on January 20th. It was lovely to get together and have some lovely coffee, great cake and lots of doggy chat!
We are already looking forward to doing it all again in April.
We have two new dogs joining the Barking Mad Cotswolds family this month - Barney and Wooster! We look forward to introducing them to our hosts as soon as possible.
As we often say our hosts are the backbone of our business, and as a thank you we look forward to seeing them all on January 20th for tea and cake.
Don't forget all bookings taken before December 31st 2016 for holidays taken in 2017 will be subject to current prices!
We were very happy to help out with a charity event in Meysey Hampton recently. A cream tea, raffle and auction was held to raise funds for a charity that helps rescue and re home dogs saved from the horrendous Chinese meat trade.
Over £2500 was raised to support the work of the The Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation.
With Christmas fast approaching please don't wait to book your dog in with us. We have hosts that are already booked and would hate to disappoint anyone by not having availability over the Christmas holidays.
Great to see so many of you at the Cerney Wick Dog show earlier in the month - we sponsored the prettiest bitch competition and I'm sure you will agree the winner is a stunner. Those bows are quite something
Every year Barking Mad head office compile a calendar picking the very best pictures from the whole business - and as you can imagine thats a lot of beautiful dog pictures - and we are delighted to say one of our pictures has been chosen - this is Molly and Monty out and about in the Black Mountains.
All of our customers and hosts will receive a copy of the calendar mid November as a thank you for being part of the Barking Mad Cotswold family.
We are starting to fill up our October half term and Christmas slots - so please if you are thinking about booking a holiday over those times, do give us a call to ensure you get your favourite host and the times you want. We hate to disappoint any customer.
Wow what a busy August - back to back dog collections and holidays. We have received many 5* reviews over the month from happy dog owners which makes all the hard work so worth while.
Our hosts are the back bone of our business and we have welcomed 5 new hosts to the Barking Mad Cotswolds family this month which is great news for all our customers.
We are looking forward to attending the Carney Wick Dog Show on September 10th so maybe see you there!
We really enjoyed The Cotswold Show - we met lots of potential new hosts and customers and it was great to see so many of our existing Barking Mad family pop along to say hello.
Can you spot Molly who worked hard all weekend!
Enzo is very relaxed on his Barking Mad Cotswold holiday - he has travelled all the way from London to join us. Its so important to book early to secure your dog holiday.
We are having trouble getting any work done this week as Oscar is a bit of a distraction!
Barking Mad Conference - Lakeside Hotel Cumbria
We had our annual National Conference in Cumbria on April 24 and 25th. A great opportunity again to catch up with colleagues, share in the success of the business over the last twelve months, and to spend time looking at how we can develop Barking Mad and maintain our position as market leader.
The headline news was that the Barking Mad network across 70 franchises generated over £3m of sales last year (a growth of over 20%), and the introduction of the TrustPilot customer feedback has provided our customers with a valuable independent communication channel, to enable us to continually improve the service we provide to you.
The highlight of the event, as always, was the conference dinner, which provided a great opportunity to catch up with old friends, and to share some of our Barking Mad experiences!
Prior to the dinner, our Managing Director - Lee Dancy handed out awards for outstanding achievement. Pictured below are the staff from Barking Mad HQ who were given light hearted awards for the invaluable work that they do in supporting the network.
Tyson is a 2 year old Hungarian Vizsla who was born with a Cyst on his brain.
It grew significantly as he got older, which resulted in him having quite regular fits.
They contacted Barking Mad - His owners became increasingly worried about his condition, and were not sure who would be able to care for him when they went on their Honeymoon in October.
"Barking mad proved from the very first contact we made how professional and caring they are towards our beloved dog. Attention to detail is key and they hit the mark. Right from the off with the consultation the right questions were asked, probing in to Tyson's routine and medical history. The trial is a fantastic way to ensure both dog and family are content with each other and the new surroundings are not too stressfule dog. The photographs which were sent to us while Tyson was on holiday was a great way to keep our minds at ease as this was his first time apart from us for a period as long as this. Tyson was registered, and a trial arranged with a Barking Mad Host who was an experienced retired Veterinary Nurse. This was particularly reassuring for the family, as Tyson was being quite heavily medicated at the time, and required loving care if he had a fit.
Prior to the wedding, Langford Veterinary Services in Bristol carried out a pioneering procedure to remove the cyst. The operation was a remarkable success, and six weeks on,Tyson has had only one minor fit (while on his Barking Mad holiday!)
A great service and we have, and will continue to promote your business by word of mouth.
Many thanks for taking care of our boy,"
