Wags & Wellies Sponsored Dog Walk
Sunday 19th March
Come and join Barking Mad and lots of other dog lovers for a lovely sponsored dog walk at Cuerden Valley Park on Sunday 19th March. The whole event is in aid of Derian House Children's Hospice in Chorley.
Starting from The Barn on Berkeley Drive, participants will be guided through the park on a scenic stroll of natural beauty. On completion of the walk, your four legged friend will receive a Derian House doggy bag full of goodies for you to take home.
Before and after the walk you can enjoy our selection of stalls, all locally sourced, selling a range of all things canine and cuddly, plus refreshments, stalls, tombola and raffle.
We are delighted to be supporting the event and you can visit the Barking Mad stand with details about our local dog home boarding service for Lancashire and information for people interested in joining our community of dog carers.
Canine check-in will begin from 9.30am. Your start time for you and your dog will be allocated when you receive your information pack. This will include, directions to The Barn, map of the walk and your sponsor form.

Meet The Team of 2016!!
Left to Right: Alison, Liz, Ged, Nicola, Siana, Carol
What another busy summer it's been!
I'm pleased to introduce my newly expanded team. Here's a little more info about everyone…
Carol has worked with me at Barking Mad for 10 years now, and is also my deputy. Ged joined as a pet care assistant in July 2015, recognising the need to expand further Liz and Nicola joined to do the same role this summer. Last but not least, Siana works as our admin in the office and joined in July this year. She may contact you for little bits of info to do with your pup!
We hope you enjoyed finding out a little bit more about our team, it's always comforting being able to put a name to a face! We all look forward to meeting you over the next few weeks and months.
If you need anymore information about the customer service or are interested in becoming a host family please get in touch.
I would love to hear from you.
Thanks very much
Hi Everyone. Please check out my latest picture of me and my very own special doggies. Flirty my Lhasa Apso is now 17 years (and 8months) old. Gracie, my Westie is 12 years old.
They are my absolute world so I know just how important customers dogs are! They are not just a dog but a very important family member. Getting even more special as they get older and learning to adapt to their very different needs as they become an older dog. Old age in dogs and age related conditions make caring for an old dog a very different experience from caring for a young dog. Gracie is also an insulin dependant diabetic now which has meant changes to diet, routine and of course learning how to monitor her health and injecting her twice a day.
My customers benefit from this wealth of experience when their dogs come to stay with Barking Mad. I can also ensure my host families benefit from this experience to be certain visiting dogs are cared for to the very highest standard.
If you want to know more about using the service or think you might be interested in becoming a Barking Mad host in the Blackpool and Preston area check out the rest of the website or click on the link to listen to me on BBC Radio Lancashire talking about all the benefits of becoming a Barking Mad host.
