Climb Leith Hill Tower and admire the stunning views from the highest point in South-East England - you might even spot a boat on the Channel from here, along with surrounding countryside. Why not venture to the highest point in South-East England at 1029ft (329m)? Climb all 74 steps of the spiral stairs at Leith Hill Tower and gaze through a telescope. End your visit with a stop at the servery run by The Tanhouse Farm Shop. Choose from hot or cold food, or just sip a hot drink whilst you perch on a bench and admire the views. Open daily.

This country retreat, only four miles from Dorking has glorious views across the rolling Surrey Hills and acres of countryside. The gardens offer something for every season, including climbing roses at their best in June and a winter garden bursting with yellow aconites.
