I live in Cobham, within walking distance of Painshill Park, with my wife Karen. Dogs have always been a part of our lives in England and Portugal, where we have had a ‘house full’ of four-legged friends. From a Jack Russell to a Labrador, not to mention a Portuguese Serra d’Aires and a miniature Schnauzer. We have had 7 in total and even brought three back from Portugal.

After our last dog died, our young daughter kept asking when we could get another one. I suggested to her that maybe we could first become a host family. Looking after dogs for other people, so I contacted the Barking Mad franchisee for our area who informed me that he was looking to sell the business. Since I was looking for a suitable venture, interesting and stimulating. With a concept that had affinity with our love of animals, especially dogs. One thing led on to another and here I am, the proud owner of my own business – that was back in February 2012, and I haven’t looked back since!
