Well it wasn’t a scorcher but our guests all got a very warm welcome from our lovely hosts this summer. New friends were made, both human, doggy and even bovine! Adventures were had, and lots of cuddles too. It was so lovely to see old friends returning and new doggies too becoming part of the Barking Mad family.
A huge, huge thank you to all of out fabulous hosts, we simply couldn’t do it without you. You are the best! Time to share some stories at a host get together soon we think….definately not picnic weather, maybe hotpot!
Barking Mad Re-Sale Opportunity
Do you know someone who would love to run a really enjoyable dog business?
An opportunity to buy a well- established, home based, post-coded territory dog business, which covers the Derby, Ashbourne and Matlock area is now being placed on the market. With a loyal customer base (bookings already in the diary for 2017) and a fantastic team of host families this business is truly ready to be taken to the next level.
This is a really enjoyable business that would suit anyone wishing to work from home while pursuing a career working with dogs and a brilliant host and customer community, along with the added fabulous support and benefits that this franchise and its network provides. The investment risk has been massively reduced as the territory is already successful and profitable with significant areas still with untapped potential.
Day to day roles include meeting new customers and their dogs, meeting new host families, admin, marketing as well as being out and about collecting and delivering dogs in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.

We have met so many lovely dogs recently. Our hosts have enjoyed some really fabulous visitors large and small.
A lovely afternoon was had by all at Swarkestone Nursery in the Spring when some of our lovely host community met up for Afternoon Tea. What could be nicer than catching up and swapping doggy stories while enjoying absolutely delicious cake. We will be visiting again!
We have a new member of the team. Our mascot Biscuit who was named by the lovely people we met at the Lifetime Commitment Dog Show in Willington. He raised £40 for the charity by selling homemade dog Biscuits and will be popping up all over the place in the coming weeks helping to spread the Barking Mad word. No rosettes for him at Darley Dale Dog Show the following week but an excellent performance on the agility course! Welcome to the team Biscuit.
We now have two lovely ladies doing some collecting and delivering for us. Alison used to be a Host and is really enjoying her new role. She mostly covers week ends for us and she just loves all the dogs so they will be in safe hands.
Jane has also joined the team, she is a real dog lover and is looking forward to meeting our customers and Hosts.
We had a fun day at the RSPCA bark in the park. Lots of money was raise for the Derby RSPCA, they do such good work, we were more than happy to support their event.
Take a look at the Whereto Walkies website www.wheretowalkies.co.uk There are lots of ideas of all sorts of different walks that you can do with your dog.
