Barking Mad Canterbury Local News October 2018
After a busy summer it was lovely to take a breath and enjoy coffee, cake and a natter at the Canterbury Garden Centre in Herne Bay where we were looked after very well.
One of my host families wrote:
Just a short note to say a big “thank you” for hosting a most enjoyable Barking Mad Tea Party at the Canterbury Garden Centre – it was good to see some familiar faces again and always a pleasure to meet some new Hosts and all within rather posh surroundings!
Thanks again for your hospitality.
We also welcomed a lovely couple who were thinking about looking after dogs and becoming hosts and joining the Barking Mad family. They asked our existing hosts lots of questions and have signed up to have an ‘experienced’ holidaying dog for a week.

Afternoon Tea for Canterbury dog sitting hosts – November 2017
Afternoon tea enjoyed by my lovely dog home boarding hosts – At the beginning of the month I hosted an afternoon tea for some of my hosts at the Elham Garden Centre Café. The café provided a lovely spread and it was a good time to catch up and swap dog sitting stories. We had a slide show with lots of the photos hosts had taken of the dogs they had home boarded over the year. There was also a free raffle with everyone winning a prize.
It was another busy year here in the South East with lots of dog holidays, and another award for my efforts!
