First, a little poem...
It's great to see the dogs arrive,
especially those we know.
We try to make them feel at home,
till it's time for them to go.
We've had Scotties and Retrievers and a great St Bernard too,
Labradors, both cream and black and mongrels - quite a few.
We give them hugs and lots of love just as their owners would.
They settle in quite happily - they're always very good.
If you like dogs and they like you it's great to have them stay.
Their owners know they're safe and warm
While they're on holiday.
The dogs really are part of the family long before they leave and we can't wait to have them back. It's a really happy experience for all of us!
Having Barking Mad dogs to visit is like having our grandchildren or favourite nephew and niece to stay. We can devote all our time and love to entertain them and enjoy their company for a short while, and then say goodbye and relax until the next visit.
Being a Barking Mad host has given me the opportunity to enjoy the companionship of dogs of all ages, breeds and personalities. I also feel I am able to offer a service to pet lovers by providing their pet with love and one-to-one attention whilst maintaining their existing exercise and feeding routine.
