
You then return to your local area, with a sales and marketing activity plan that aims to get you known quickly. We arrange advertising in your target marketplace during the first eight weeks of trading. Advertising is also placed in the Yellow Pages and on Yell.com – we pay for the first year.
You choose your own vehicle, which must be silver grey. We can suggest makes and models suited to transporting pets and their belongings. Your vehicle will be liveried to display the Barking Mad logo, local phone number and web address – ensuring that our distinctive brand helps to promote your business. You’ll also need a PC for business use, and should talk to us about provision for Working Capital.
Once you’ve had a chance to settle in and get used to running your own business, we’ll come along to work with you in your territory. During this time we’ll contact the local newspapers, radio and TV stations to help tell your story.
Barking Mad’s straightforward systems will help you run your business efficiently. You’ll also have access to the intranet where you will receive weekly updates from head office, and can attend regional meetings and dog care training seminars. Our National Conference is held in the Lake District every April – a chance to share ideas and join in team-building and social activities, with partners invited. This event is paid for by Head Office.
