Before joining Barking Mad, Chris and I (Beverley) both served as frontline Paramedics in the Ambulance service—Chris for 32 years, and myself for 19 years. Our background in healthcare taught us the importance of care, attention to detail, and working under pressure, values that we bring with us into every aspect of our dog care services.
After leaving the NHS, Chris pursued his passion for dogs and studied at Hadlow College, earning his City & Guilds Levels 2 and 3 in Dog Grooming with Merits. In 2018, he opened We Pet Care, a pet grooming business where he still works with clients today.
As for me, after leaving the Ambulance Service in 2013, I took on the role of managing a social exercise group for dogs. I created a space where up to ten dogs could play and interact in a private, secure field. After nearly a decade of running this service, I joined Chris in the dog grooming business, combining our skills and experiences to offer exceptional pet care.
Pets have always been an integral part of our lives. Throughout our marriage and as we raised our two daughters, we’ve had dogs as part of the family – alongside rabbits, a cat, guinea pigs, hamsters, and budgerigars. Our family dynamic has always been full of love and care for our pets, and we cherish every moment spent with them.
We understand the challenges of finding a bespoke and loving service to look after your pets, especially when they are an important part of your family. This is precisely why we joined Barking Mad.
