This October, Barking Mad is proud to join forces with our sister brands, Ovenclean and ChipsAway, to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity. Together, we’re stepping up to support life-changing research and everyone affected by breast cancer.
Across the country, colleagues and franchisees are taking part in the “100 Miles in October” challenge – walking, running, or hiking to reach the milestone together. We’ll also be showing our support by taking part in “Wear It Pink” day on 24th October, joining thousands nationwide in donning pink outfits and accessories to raise vital funds.
This campaign is especially meaningful for us all, as we come together to support Amy, a much-loved member of our Franchise Support Team who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently receiving chemotherapy. Amy continues to inspire us all with her positivity and strength, and many across the Barking Mad, Ovenclean and ChipsAway networks are getting involved to show her just how much she means to us.
Franchise Support Team Leader, Annabel Hall, explains:
“Breast cancer is a disease that sadly touches so many lives, including our own team. By coming together as ChipsAway, Ovenclean and Barking Mad, we want to show our support for Amy and raise money for vital research and support services. It’s also wonderful to see so many of our franchisees across the networks stepping up to take part – a real testament to the community spirit Amy herself has worked so hard to build.”
Every year, around 55,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK. Funds raised across the Franchise Brands networks will help Breast Cancer Now continue its ground breaking research and provide vital support for people living with breast cancer today.
