Barking Mad Hastings Summer Coffee Morning – July 2018
What a fantastic turnout we had on July 25th for Hastings Barking Mad Summer Coffee Morning. A big thank you to Nadine from Calmer Canines, Julie from Hastings Puppy School and Marc from Trophy Pet Foods East Sussex. Our guests gave informal talks on how to keep your dog calm, dog behaviour, the best diet for your dog, plus very useful advice on how best to keep dogs cool in this extreme weather we are experiencing.
It was great to see Barking Mad host families as well as local dog owners with their dogs. A few even travelled as far as Rye for the event. Many local pet providers from St Leonards, Hastings and surrounding areas also came along to join in the fun; it was a great networking opportunity. Thanks to Patrick and his team from The New Inn Westfield. It was an excellent venue with the perfect garden and lots of shade!
Bertie’s Barking Mad Hastings Holiday
Bertie, who lives in the Rye area, has recently joined the Barking Mad family. His owners had been let down by a local pet sitter in the past and were nervous about leaving Bertie. When I went and meet Bertie, I was privileged to go on one of his lovely beach walks in Rye, it was a really good way to get to know both Bertie and his owners.
They wanted Bertie to have a home from home dog boarding experience, the best alternative to kennels they could find and were delighted to find Barking Mad. Bertie has been on his trail stay with his host family and totally loved it! Since Bertie’s trial he has won a couple of rosettes in the local dog show – well done Bertie! I can’t wait to take you on your main dog holiday in the Hastings area very soon!
