We have had a wonderful dog filled summer at Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford upon Avon. We were absolutely thrilled to welcome so many gorgeous new doggies to the Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford family this summer and delighted to welcome back our regular doggie holiday guests to spend their holiday with their regular adoring host families.

Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford – Our Doggie Wedding Chaperone Service
We had the great pleasure of escorting the wonderful Ernie to his Mum and Dad’s wedding at the beautiful picturesque venue of Billesley Manor Hotel in Alcester, near Stratford in September.
Ernie the Lurcher been on many wonderful Barking Mad Holidays with us in the past and is adored by his Barking Mad hosts. It was a heart-warming experience to escort him to his Mum and Dad’s wedding in his splendid bow tie.
Ernie had an amazing time greeting all the wedding guests with his Dad and loved all the fuss and attention he received on the day for all the wedding guests.
His mum Amy was so delighted to have Ernie involved in the ceremony and he was most definitely a model wedding guest. We were delighted to help Amy and Darryl ensure their beloved Ernie was a key participant in their Big Day and were thrilled the newly married couple were so happy with our service!

Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford has had a busy April and May we lots of our doggy customers back for repeat doggy holidays and gorgeous new doggies welcomed to the Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford family. Our amazing host families ensure all our doggies have wonderful, fun filled holidays, providing top class one to one individual specifically tailored home from home dog care for each of our precious doggy customers.
Ernie the Lurcher, Mikka the Samoyed and Pixie the Pomeranian all returned in April and May for additional holidays with their lovely hosts. There were lots of walks in the early sunshine, games of football and day trips. Our customers were thrilled with how happy and content their gorgeous dogs where when they returned home and provided us with excellent 5* TrustPilot Reviews.
We are really excited to be accompanying Ernie to his owners’ wedding later in September as part of our Barking Mad Wedding Service. We know Ernie will look fabulous in his very dapper dickie bow for the occasion!
We are delighted to have welcomed gorgeous new doggies to the Barking Mad Family in April and May. The beautiful Maltese Amy adored her time with dedicated host family Agnes, Lukas and Amy and Lollipop, the handsome Beagle Pointer cross had an amazing restful first time Barking Mad Holiday with his host family. We can not wait to welcome Lollipop back for his second holiday in June! Stan the Border Collie also joined us and will be experiencing his first Barking Mad Holiday soon!
The Barking Mad team were thrilled to speak to the BBC with our amazing hosts who explained the joy and many benefits they get from having our wonderful doggies to stay on holiday. It was a fabulous day for the Barking Mad Teams from Rugby, Banbury, Chester, Worcester and Warwick and Stratford to share with our amazing hosts and our holiday dogs enjoyed having their photographs taken also!
We had a great day meeting lots of new dog loving people at the Mollington Races on 6th April. Little Teddy loved making friends with all the doggies who came to visit our stall enquiring about Barking Mad Holidays.
We are looking forward to attending the Whitnash Spring Fayre on Saturday 11th May supporting Dogs for Good and are also very excited to attend the Pawprints Fun Dog Show on Sunday 2nd June between 9.30 and 5.30 at the Old Laurentians RFC, 31 Lime Tree Avenue, Rugby CV22 7QT in support of the amazing work that the Pawprints Dog Rescue Centre does for the dogs in their care. Dog care in the Spring Sunshine at Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford
Here at Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford we have had a busy February welcoming back some of our beloved seasoned Barking Mad vacationers and thrilled to welcome new gorgeous doggies to our Barking Mad family. Half term was very busy time for us, as our customers took the opportunity to get away on holiday to ski or avail of the winter sun in warmer climates. They enjoyed themselves so much they have already booked their beloved pooches in for their Easter and Summer holidays. Thanks to the sunny weather our February holiday doggies and wonderful hosts had lots and lots of time outdoors exploring canal walks, woodland paths and countryside exploring.
Bella and Ollie, the beautiful black Labradors had amazing fun on their 10 day stay with their host family over the February Half Term. They made lots of new doggy friends while on holiday, such as Blu the Collie and enjoyed lots of fun and ball games in the beautiful local countryside. They had such great fun; their mum has booked them another Barking Mad Holiday in May!
We were lucky enough to have the beautiful, placid, adorable Lurcher Ernie, enjoy his first Barking Mad Holiday with us while his mum and dad enjoyed a short mini break away. Ernie loved his holiday with host family Fiona and Steve and their Lurcher Willow. In fact, Ernie and Willow were inseparable and enjoyed lying on one another’s beds and fun filled walks. Ernie had so much fun, his mum and dad have also booked him another Barking Mad Holiday in May.
11 year old Springer Spaniel Casper loved seeing his host Theresa again for his 9 day Barking Mad Holiday while his mum and dad enjoyed a skiing holiday during February half term. Casper adored his long walks in the sunshine with his Auntie Theresa and loved playing catch with his pheasant on his fun filled holiday.
We met some wonderful people on our recent visits to Leek Wootton, Barford, Sherbourne, Warwick, Leamington, Stratford and Tysoe. We will be visiting Weston upon Wetherley, Kenilworth, Lighthorne, Hunningham, Gaydon, Hatton and Ashorne in the next few weeks. If you see us, please pop over and say hello.
We also had an amazing day on 19th February supporting our chosen charity Dogs for Good at their Headquarters in Banbury. The amazing work of the charity and the dogs was clearly evident and explained in detail to us by the guests who were in attendance. It was also an opportunity to meet up with fellow Barking Mad Owners, Andrea and David Cawley (Barking Mad Banbury) and Cathy Martin (Barking Mad Kettering). We thoroughly enjoyed the day, meeting the wonderful guests and the talented and skilled dogs.
On 17th March together with Barking Mad Rugby, we will be joining The Rotary & Inner Wheel Clubs of Rugby in a sponsored walk in aid of Dogs for Good. The walk starts in Horton Crescent, Rugby between 10 and 10.30 and there will be free hot dogs and bacon sarnies on your return. If you would love a walk with or without your dog in aid of a great charity, please come along and join us. We look forward to seeing you there!
We are also very excited to attend the Pawprints Fun Dog Show on Sunday 2nd June between 9.30 and 5.30 at the Old Laurentians RFC, 31 Lime Tree Avenue, Rugby CV22 7QT in support of the amazing work that the Pawprints Dog Rescue Centre does for the dogs in their care. Gorgeous new members of the Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford Family!
We were absolutely thrilled to welcome gorgeous new doggy members to the Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford Family in January.
Our new family members included beautiful black Labradors Bella (2 years old) and Ollie (4 years old) who are uncle and aunt. Bella and Ollie enjoyed a wonderful “Getting to Know You Stay” with their host family and were very loved and admired by both their host family and the people they met while on their daily walks with their wonderful host family who can not wait to see them again for their holiday in February.
We were also delighted to welcome the very affectionate and loving 11 year old Springer Spaniel, Casper, to the Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford family. Casper had a wonderful time with his adoring host Theresa on his “Getting to Know You Stay”. Theresa can not wait for Casper to return for his longer main holiday at the end of February. The enjoyed lots of fun and games with Casper’s toy pheasant and meeting lots of new doggy friends on their walks near Leamington Spa and Warwick.
The very majestic and loving 8 year old German Shepherd Kai joined the Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford family and is looking forward to his Getting to Know You Stay with his host family and longer home from home holiday with his thrilled host family in August. Lollyipop the very placid and affectionate, Beagle Pointer and Ernie the Lurcher are hugely welcomed to the family and will be meeting their excited host families very soon for their fun filled Barking Mad Holidays.
This January, we are also delighted to welcome, four new amazing dog loving host families from the Harbury, Warwick, Sydenham and Leamington areas. We thoroughly enjoyed the animated discussions we had with our amazing new hosts about dogs they have had in their lives and why dogs mean so much to them. Truly amazing people! We can wait for the to meet the fabulous doggy members of the Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford family.
Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford thoroughly enjoyed meeting people in the villages of Barford, Sherbourne and Leek Wootton in January. We met lots of dog owners on our visits and will soon be visiting Ruby the Field Spaniel and Terry the Pomeranian following our conversations with dog owners during our community visits.
We are very excited about supporting our amazing chosen charity Dogs for Good at their Head Quarters Open Day on Tuesday 19th February and are looking forward to meeting all the very talented dogs once again at this event.
In support of Dogs for Good, we will be raising funds at our stall at the Lott Bazaar in Althorp Street, Leamington CV31 2AU on Sunday 17th March and the Whitnash Spring Fayre and Fun Day on Saturday 11th May. We look forward to meeting lots more members of our local community then.
Festive Season Exhilaration at Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford on Avon
Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford on Avon has had an incredibly busy and exhilarating November and December in the lead up to the Festive Season. We have welcomed wonderful, gorgeous new furry friends to the Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford on Avon family and have enjoyed seeing much loved doggy friends return to enjoy more Barking Mad Holidays with their much loved and adored host families. Paddy the Jack Russell Terrier will be enjoying his first Barking Mad Holiday with loving Host Theresa over the Festive Season and we welcome back Timmy the West Highland Terrier who will also be spending the Festive Season with amazing host Vicky.
It was our great pleasure to be invited to speak to Business students at Coventry University College about Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford and our doggy services. Students were incredibly focussed and enthusiastic, asking numerous questions about the services we provide and our doggy holidays for our many furry friends. We are sure the students will have incredible careers as future business leaders and entrepreneurs. We would like to give a huge thanks to the wonderful Lecturer Mrs. Panna Patel and Coventry University College for inviting in to speak to their wonderful students about Barking Mad Doggy Holidays , our homeboarding services and our amazing host families.
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the people of Hatton and Whitnash while attending the Northleigh House School Christmas Fair and The Whitnash Christmas Fair in support of our chosen charity Dogs for Good. The students of Northleigh did an incredible job in hosting their Christmas Fair and their home baked fudge was incredibly scrumptious. It was our pleasure to meet little rescue cockapoo Plum Pudding and Northleigh House School Dog Benji, both of whom thoroughly enjoyed Barking Mad’s Blue Cross Recipe Pup Cakes in aid of our chosen charity Dogs for Good.
We attended a wonderful Christmas evening for the supporters of Dogs for Good at their centre in Banbury. The amazing difference these dogs make to the lives of many individuals was clearly evident in the inspiring and uplifting experiences shared during the evening. The beautiful Labradors, retrievers, labradoodles and cockapoos of Dogs for Good do an amazing job for the individuals they support.
Autumnal Dog Care in Stratford-upon-Avon
We have had a busy October at Barking Mad Warwick and Stratford, welcoming new Host families to the Barking Mad Host Community and welcoming gorgeous new doggies for their Barking Mad Holidays.
The gorgeous 2 year old Samoyed Mikka completed his “Getting to Know You Stay” with his amazing host Kelly. Mikka loved walks and play time with Ben, Charlie and Kelly as well as endless cuddles! Mikka is adorable and incredibly affectionate. Kelly and the boys can’t wait for Mikka to return for his longer holiday soon. We can honestly say that we were all totally smitten by the very handsome Mikka!
We also welcomed the very affectionate Dachshund Pepper for her first Barking Mad Holiday with amazing hosts Siobhan and Phillip. Pepper adored staying with Siobhan and Phillip and even went on an early visit to Santa at Homebase! She loved her daily canal walks having great fun exploring and of course her much loved tummy rubs. Pepper’s mum and dad were able to relax and enjoy their holiday knowing Pepper was safe, happy and all loved up with our great hosts Siobhan and Phillip. We can’t wait to see Pepper for her next Barking Mad Holiday!
Talking of our wonderful host families – we are always keen to recruit new host families and this month saw us find wonderful new hosts in Tysoe, Bishop’s Tachbrook, Leamington Spa and Lillington. A huge welcome to the new members of our Barking Mad Host Community who have been excited to meet their first dog visitors on holiday already! So, if you know anyone that you think would like to provide one to one loving dog care while their owners are away on holiday then ask them to get in touch. A secure garden and lots of love to give are the main requirement. Having a dog to stay is a real tonic for people and it is scientifically proven that dogs help people combat depression and keep them healthy. We have also been out and about in the community this month meeting and chatting to lovely people! We had a wonderful day volunteering at the Engage 50+ Festival at Stratford College, Stratford upon Avon. It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm of all attendees to discover new pursuits, hobbies and discuss their love and memories of dogs with them! All attendees were focussed on making the most of life from 50 100! We were also treated to the musical skills of the talented supporters of the 50+ Festival! Thank you for the incredibly enjoyable day!
Last weekend, we went along to see groomers in action at the National Grooming Championships at the Warwick Events Centre. We met lots of wonderful dog owners with amazing doggies! We were incredibly impressed with some of the doggy grooms being completed and send our huge congrats to all the winners! We received special advice on Teddy’s first puppy groom which was very welcome, and he is all booked in for his first puppy groom on 5th November! Teddy also made some new human and dog friends! We were delighted to meet the very friendly team from Fish4Dogs who made a huge fuss over Teddy the Cockapoo and very kindly gave him a huge goodie bag full of Fish4Dogs treats – which he is very happy with!
We have also enjoyed meeting and chatting to wonderful doggies and their owners on several visits to Newbold Comyn, Leamington for lengthy walks with Teddy our Cockapoo, who has enjoyed exploring new walks and meeting new doggy friends.
