Barking Mad Royal Tunbridge Wells Local News

Barking Mad Royal Tunbridge Wells February news  – Fun with Hosts.

Paul Smith and his great group of home from  home dog sitting Hosts had had a lovely coffee morning in Hattons on the Pantiles. The plan was to have a hot drink with a piece of cake or a Biscuit but once the menu’s were handed out, it soon turned into a breakfast club with far too many tempting choices but it certainly  helped us all warm up as it had been a particularly cold and wet Morning.

A First for Barking Mad Cotswolds – February 2018

We have had a hugely busy start to February with a record number of dog holiday bookings as well as our best ever number of new dog registrations.  We can tell already this is going to be a bumper year. We love going out to meet new customers to explain how we are an alternative to kennels and how we provide dog holiday care in a home from home environment while they are away.

One of our new doggy customers is Alfie – he is totally blind but this does not stop him from enjoying life to the full and we can’t wait to provide him with a dog holiday he won’t forget!  We have not had to care for a blind dog before but we are sure Alfie will fit in well with the Barking Mad Cotswold family and we have several hosts who are experienced in caring for dogs with disabilities.

A New Year and a New Challenge – January 2018

The Barking Mad national charity for 2018 is Dogs for Good and to raise funds we decided to set ourselves a challenge to walk 1,000 miles in the year. Only 2.74 miles a day! So to make it harder we decided to only count the miles when we are walking doggies and are together… this is proving a challenge! Most of our walks are on the hills so slower miles than we imagined! We’re keeping on track though despite having 5 days without anything counting and by the end of the month we’d achieved 85.8 miles.

If you’d like to sponsor us please visit our page at Virgin Money Giving – all donations are greatly appreciated and go to such a great cause.
